Super Easy Glazed Baked Soft Donuts Recipe | Baked Not Fried – You can choose the easy way out for these soft fluffy mini donuts. No yeast no proofing no waiting no fried. They are delicious and adorable looking with the colourful sprinkles glaze on the top. Great for party because they are so easy to make in a short time. Best consumed within the day, or you can store in room temp for 2 days in an airtight container. Ingredients:

  • DONUTS

For each versions (egg and eggless), this recipe yields about 10 donuts.

 

125g [1 cup] all-purpose flour

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

100g [½ cup] castor sugar

150g [â…” cup] whole milk

15g [1 tbsp] melted butter

35g [½] egg, beaten (OR FOR EGG SUBSTITTUTE: 30g [2 tbsp] milk)

 

  • GLAZE

- Sugar Frosting

65g [½ cup] powdered sugar

5g [1 tsp] lemon juice

15g [1 tbsp] water

 

Sprinkles

Red food colouring

 

- Chocolate Glaze

60g [¼ cup] melted chocolate

Instructions:

  • DONUTS

  1. Preheat oven at 175°C/348°F.

  2. Sift all the dry ingredients: flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt. Give it a quick mix and set aside.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, add sugar, milk, melted butter and egg. **** Mix until well combined. Add in the sifted ingredients. Mix until combined, do not over mix.

  4. Transfer batter into a piping bag. Using piping bag is optional, just to prevent mess pouring batter from the bowl.

  5. Bake in preheated oven at 175°C/348°F for 18-20 minutes.

  6. Remove from the pan and let it cool completely before glazing them.

 

  • GLAZE

- Sugar frosting

  1. In a small bowl, add the powdered sugar, lemon juice and water. Mix them thoroughly until well combined.

  2. Transfer half the frosting into another bowl to make red colour. Add in the red food colouring, mix until well combined.

 

- Chocolate Glaze

  1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or double boiler.

 

Dip one side of the donuts into the glaze, add the sprinkles all around the top.
