Glossy Gooey Fudgy Brownies – I believe this recipe is the best it can go, if you like fudgy gooey chewy chocolaty brownies with a shiny surface. What do you think? Comment down below if you think otherwise, or better texture. My family can literally finish them at one go. I went to the local restaurants and ordered this a few times. They come with ice cream, it’s like hot and cold at the same time. But I can tell you, none of the brownies is of this texture that I love. Hope you will be inspired to give it a try and tell me what you think. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

200g dark chocolate (I used compound chocolate)

115g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter

150g (2/3 cup) castor sugar

115g (1/2 cup) brown sugar

3 eggs

75g (1/2 cup) all-purpose flour

25g (1/4 cup) cocoa powder

¼ tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven at 180°C/355°F.

  2. Cut the dark chocolate into small chunks. Place them in a heat proof bowl. Melt them over a simmering water. Add butter and melt them together. Set aside to cool.

  3. In large bowl, add the sugars. Add in the eggs, one at a time. Mix vigorously until the mixture is pale and creamy. This will take about 3-5 minutes, depending how vigorous you are.

  4. Add salt and vanilla, and mix well. Add the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. Mix until well combined.

  5. Sift in the dry ingredients. Use a spatula to fold in gently, just until the flour disappear. Do not over mix.

  6. Grease a 7x7-inch pan and line 2 parchment papers so that bottom and all sides are covered.

  7. Bake it in preheated oven at 180°C/355°F for 30-35 minutes. Insert a toothpick, if it comes out with sticky batter, that is good because we do not want it over-cooked and not gooey anymore. Of course, if you desire to have it more cooked, then bake it for another 5 minutes or so.

  8. Let it cool completely before cutting it. Insert a knife into a glass of warm water to cut the brownies. Wipe the knife clean for each cut to avoid messiness J

  9. Serve with milk or ice cream!
