Eggless Vanilla Chiffon Cake – I got this request for eggless vanilla chiffon cake from time to time. Here you go, easy, soft and moist chiffon cake. If you do not have a chiffon pan, any 6 or 7 or 8 inch pan will be fine too. Just follow all the steps closely, you’ll get this delicious soft and moist chiffon cake. Ingredients:
15 cm chiffon pan, greased
180g [1½ cup] cake flour
8g [1¾ tsp] baking powder
5g [1 tsp] baking soda
2g [¼ tsp] salt
275g [1â…› cup] plain yogurt
130g [1 cup] powdered sugar
50g [4 tbsp] oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
15g [1 tbsp] milk
Dusting sugar (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven at 180°C/355°F.
2. Grease the pan, set aside.
3. Sift all the dry ingredients: cake flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
4. In a large mixing bowl, add in yogurt.
5. Sift in the powdered sugar. Mix vigorously until well combined.
6. Add in oil and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
7. Add in the sifted ingredients, spoon by spoon, mixing at the same time. Mix until combined.
8. Transfer into the pan. Tap the pan on the table to get even surface. Use a skewer to mix and swirl the batter.
9. Bake at preheated oven at 180°C/355°F for 30-35 minutes.
10. Remove the cake from the pan once the cake is a little cool.
11. Dust some powdered sugar on the top (optional).
12. Cake is ready to serve.
